What are Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoidal treatment is any treatment pertaining to conditions afflicting the hemorrhoids, which are, simply put, soft and highly vascular bearings positioned at the terminal rectum of the human body. The basic cause of this disease can lie in lifestyle choices as well as genetic predispositions. Conditions such as pregnancy, constipation to a chronic degree or diarrhea can contribute significantly too.

Severity

The severity of the hemorrhoids disease can be classified into four grades:

Grade I: In this condition, the hemorrhoids can’t be seen, as they remain within the anus. The patient knows of the problem only because of the bleeding. There is no pain.

Grade II: In this condition, the hemorrhoids only emerge out while the patient is defecating. There is bleeding as well as discomfort.

Grade III: This is the condition in which the hemorrhoids are prolapsed permanently. They need to be positioned back into the anal canal manually. This condition is usually quite painful.

Grade IV: In this condition, the Hemorrhoids and track are both constantly outside. A simple manual procedure is not enough to bring them back in.

There are other forms of hemorrhoidal disease such as the disease emorroidiaria. This may be accompanied by intense pain at every stage. Another example is thrombosis. This is a frequently occurring disease that generally affects the external Hemorrhoids, but can also affect the internal ones. In this condition, a thrombus (blood clot) forms within the inflamed varicose veins. This causes pain, itching and swelling.

If the thrombosis is serious, the hemorrhoidal treatment that can’t be escaped is hemorrhoidal surgery (hemorrhoidectomy). In fact, surgery is the solution for all the most severe cases of hemorrhoids (Grade IV Hemorrhoids, excessive bleeding and persistent).
