Posted by admin in Prescription Pain Killers on January 29th, 2010
Do you have hemorrhoids and need to find out when to see a doctor? Going to see a hemorrhoids doctor is no fun and most of the time not even necessary. Some people find it very embarrassing to have to go to the doctor and show him intimate parts of your body that you may not want him to see. There are ways to cure your hemorrhoids without making a doctor visit, but it is sometimes necessary to go and see a hemorrhoid doctor in order to get rid of the swelling, itching, pain, and in some cases blood. When you go to see a doctor for your hemorrhoids you will experience a few different things.
There are two different types of hemorrhoids that you can have. One is an external hemorrhoid which will be visible so that the doctor will be able to see what is happening with it and will be able to treat it better. The other is an internal hemorrhoid which will require further testing in order to get rid of it. Internal hemorrhoids are also the ones that cause you to have blood in your stool.
If the hemorrhoids that you have are not external the doctor will perform a few different tests to find out if you have internal hemorrhoids. The first step is for the doctor to insert a gloved finger into your anus and feel the tissue inside to determine if in fact there is a hemorrhoid present. If he cannot feel it with his gloved finger he will then use a series of small scopes to determine the location of it. There will also be other tests that need to be conducted to gather all of the information necessary for treatment.
There are a lot of different ways the doctor will treat your hemorrhoids when you go in for a visit. If you have hemorrhoids and are trying to decide when to see a doctor you should know that it is not necessary in most cases. There are several hemorrhoid home remedies that you can use that will make the hemorrhoids go away in a matter of a couple of days.
