Sleep better and quieter through snoring exercises
Exercise, as everybody knows, is good for you helping you tone muscle and burn calories. However, did you know that there are actually exercises that you can use to target your snoring enabling you and your significant other to get a better night’s sleep? While these exercises might not totally cure your snoring problem, it can help dramatically decrease it and give you a better night’s rest.
What causes snoring?
Loose tissues around your nasal passages, mouth and throat tend to cause snoring. Close your mouth so that your molars are lightly touching each other, now mover your jaw around in a gum chewing motion without opening your lips. Try adding a “mmmm” sound to the routine for added benefit.
The Yawn
Start with your moth closed and molars lightly touching, then open your mouth into a wide yawn like position being careful not to overstretch your jaw. The roof of your mouth should rise, opening your airways. Hold it then close your jaw again. Repeat.
Nya, Nya
Stick out your tongue like a petulant child going “nya, nya”, hold for five seconds then retract it. Repeat it a few times. Then, do it again, but this time whip you tongue in and out as quickly as you can like a frog catching flies.
Tongue around the world
Stick out your tongue. Stretch it from side to side touching the corners of your lips, then stretch it up towards your nose and then down towards your chin, stretching it out as far as possible. Now, dotongue circles touching your lips all the way around, first clockwise then counter clockwise.
Success rate
Doing these snoring exercises can help decrease, even eliminate snoring in some people, but not everyone. It ultimately depends on your exact condition. It is not advisable to abandon any medical devices that your doctor gave you in lieu of these exercises if you happen to suffer from sleep apnea, however you might want to go in for a re-evaluation after doing these exercises for some time. Like any exercise, it takes time and commitment to make a difference and you will need to keep them up if you wish to remain snore free.

Injuries That Can Be Sustained From Practicing This Art & How to Minimize Them

Before I begin, I would like to declare that I am NOT a certified doctor and that all the injuries that are in this article had been sustained by me before during the course of my leg-drum practicing and career.
If you do sustain these injuries, consult a doctor immediately!
Here are the injuries that can be sustained:
.sore/painful ankles
.sore/painful heels
.sore kneecap
Sore/painful ankles
This is the most common injury that can be sustained from practicing this art, yet this is the most critical injury because if left untreated, it will become swollen and you practically cannot walk and go about doing your routine chores.
For new followers of leg-drum, your ankles are more prone to this injury as compare to a dancer for example, because your ankles are not seasoned to take this type of pressure yet; but you will as time pass by while you continue practicing this art.
Please note that this art is a combination of music and sports.
One interesting finding is that personally for me, seldom did I ever sustain this injury while practicing this art and career, maybe because of my severe flat feet condition.
Nonetheless, please do warm-up exercises for your ankles before commencing your leg-drum practice.
DO NOT take this injury lightly, you will only suffer if you do.
Sore/painful heels
This is the second common injury that can be sustained from practicing this art, with all the drumming on your legs, especially your heels because it plays a very important role in leg-drum.

Do invest in a pair of sports shoes that is of excellent quality and control the strength of your drumming to minimize this injury.
Sore kneecap
This is the third common injury that can be sustained from practicing this art if you put all your strength onto your kneecap when you are too absorbed in perfecting your skill during practice.
For these three injuries, do take some supplements with the approval from your doctor, especially those supplements that build up your bone density.
These are the three most critical injuries that you can sustain from practicing this art. All these are not light injuries, so it might make you wonder, “Why am I still practicing this art, despite having suffered from all these three injuries?”
Well, love and passion for this art keeps me going, from just a concept in my mind to becoming a drum system based entirely on my legs. And thank God that I managed to pull through because if I did not, there would not be any leg-drum system to talk about.

Chronic Back Pain Treatment - Is There Relief?

Suffering from chronic back pain can ruin your vacation plans, your summer and pretty much a good time. You might have to go for X-rays and an MRI in order for the doctor to determine the extent of your back injury and how to treat it. Every case is different and your doctor will have to take into consideration your cause for the injury, your full medical history and your intensity of pain when figuring out the best chronic back pain treatment for you.

Rope skipping involves swinging the rope over the head and below the feet and jumping at the same time. Jumping rope can burn fats or calories at a fast rate. The exercise reduces flesh around the belly, hips and thighs. Rope exercise is also an ideal way to strengthen the legs and protect against arthritic pains in the knees. Again, as in the case of the hula hoop, it is best to start slowly and then gradually increase pace once the muscles of the body adjust to the exercise.
