Joint Pain Remedies

If you are one of the millions of people around the world that suffers from joint pain then you need to start to do something about it. You don’t have to be in pain all the time and there are many joint pain remedies that you can use that will help reduce, or completely eliminate the pain. You can use natural supplements, or you can apply other forms of treatment that will hopefully aid to get rid of some of your aches and pains. Arthritis is one of the main causes of this pain, and it affects so many people around the world. The most common form is osteoarthritis, and although it can be debilitating, there are a lot of things you can do.
The first thing that you need to look at is your weight. Excessive weight causes extra stress on the joints and is likely to cause a lot of joint pain. Extra wear and tear occurs the more stress you put on your joints, so if you are overweight, lowering your weight will lower the compressive forces on your joint and therefore lowering the chance of joint degeneration.
You can do a lot of exercise and strength work that will build up the muscles around your joint. This is more so in the case of knee arthritis. Strengthening your quads will mean that you are creating more of a barrier around your knee, there will be less force through the joint and your muscles can basically help to open up the joint and keep the compressive forces down.
Another thing you can look at are a whole bunch of natural joint pain remedies. These include several different supplements such as fish oil, which is thought to aid joint pain. You can also take Epsom salt baths, which includes magnesium and has some good results in lowering pain if it is from inflammation, such as gout or rheumatoid arthritis.
You can also take supplements such as glucosamine and chondroitin. These are well known now and although aren’t a drug they have a lot of research behind them that shows they help to lower joint pain amongst many populations. They are both naturally occurring in the body and they are thought to make the cartilage more cushiony and better able to absorb shock. They can be found in a lot of health shops and on many health sites on the Internet.
